Someone is watching! What are you showing?

Most know I am a cheerleading coach and spend my Friday nights at high school football games. This year is my 30th year coaching. The other night at the game, two little boys, who engaged like best friends, approached me at the fence. The first little guy had something in his hand, so I reached over the fence, and the little guy said, "Will you have this? It says happy; I made it myself." To my surprise, the little guy gifted me a handmade bracelet. As I accepted and said thank you, the other little guy nodded in approval, and both ran off smiling.
The little guys' selfless act was precious and priceless. I am truly honored to receive the gift, and I will treasure the bracelet forever. Their actions remind me that someone is always watching your actions. Somehow I made an impression on these young lads that made them approach me with their "happy" bracelet. We must show our best selves because you never know who is watching your behavior. Thanks, little guys, for gifting me your bracelet, and my prayer is that my actions and behavior inspire you in some way. I will wear this bracelet every day!
Key Takeaway
In my book iDid and uCan 2, I wrote:" Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character; Watch your character; it becomes your destiny." Author unknown. Know who you are and be the best version of yourself at all times because impressionable youth are watching.

As a coach also this post is very inspiring. As adults we are too quick to write off the youth. Sometimes we fail to realize that they are impressionable and we play a significant role in their development. I'm proud to say your character is always that of an exemplary woman so it makes sense that those young men saw your light shining.
